xlC_r and CC compile

hi ,all
I have written some C program on AIX box,and I first use CC compiler to compile it ,and it be successful compiled and linked, I can run the program for a correct result.
But I try use the IBM's compiler --xlC_r to compile the same code, I failed to compile the .c files to .o files.
And then I use CC to compile the .c files to .o files, and then use xlC_r to link them together for a executable file. I've got success, but the executable runs for a wrong result.
So I want to know what's the difference between these two compiler? And how can i modfiy my program to make it successful compiled with xlC_r compiler.

OK, sorry.
I just wanted to understand the difference, on your AIX systems. Usually, on AIX systems, cc and CC are the standard IBM AIX c compiler. So, I don't clearly see the difference between using CC and IBM c compiler...
Except if you were meaning understanding the difference between CC and xlC_r in the same IBM C compiler environment ? Then "man cc" should help.

What errors do you see while compiling?

What version of AIX are you using? Also which version of Visual Age?

Code:
# oslevel
# lslpp -l vacpp*
# lslpp -l xlC*
