User access in AIX

Hi guys,

i have recently added an admin user in AIX, and would like to use this a/c
to execute some oracle statements/scripts.

But how do i ensure that this is user is able to access them?
Is there some kind of permissions i need to set?

Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure that the admin user is in a group that has access to the oracle executables and, probably, database. For example, if there is an oracle or dba group, your admin user should be in it.

And, by the way, in the .profile of the user, put a copy of oracle .profile, in order to have access to the binary file pathes (sqlplus, oerr, etc...)
