Swap Usage

Hi,

What would be the best way to calculate swap usage over a period of time?

Basically we have nightly database builds, and I want to see how much of the swap gets used during this period. Build roughly takes about 6 hours.

Are there any utilities that can help me?

Regards,
Kristijan

For something as simple as that just run vmstat in the background writing to a file. Set an appropriate delay interval - 30 secs, 10 minutes whatever.
