send syslogs of aix box to remote rhel box

hi guys,
i have a task for everyone.
i have aix 5.2 machine from which i want to send the syslogs to a remote rhel machine.i have configured the /etc/syslog.conf file in aix in the below format

*.debug @<ip address>
*.info @<ip address>
auth.notice @<ip address>

locally on the aix machine logs are created but they are not sent to syslog server which is rhel
can any at least tell me that it is possible.

after editing /etc/syslog.conf, did you refresh the syslog daemon?
refresh -s syslogd

My log redirecting works fine on 5.3... I dont use @I.P.ADDR, but have entry in /etc/hosts and use @SHORTNAME.

thats a good idea but for me refresh cmd didnt work so i had to do
kill -HUP <syslogPID>
