Regarding AIX

Hi,

I have a few things to discuss, please share your knowledge,

I'm trying out to find out whether can we install AIX on a vmware, is it possible?

Though it is a silly question,I know that it is hardware dependent OS and I would like to install it for study purpose. Moreover,I googled and found that AIX can be installed in simulation software called power vmware,if it is so,where can i get it for free...of course:-)

Else is there any other way that i can get AIX on my laptop?

Thanks in Advance,

No, it won't run in 'regular' VMware...PowerVMware is for IBM's Power series systems. AIX is a licensed-only OS, available only with purchase of hardware/license from IBM, and will only run on IBM hardware.

The best people to contact for this would be IBM support.
