New user created but not able to go into ints home folder
 

I have created a new user say abc but I am not able to go into its home folder.
I am getting the following error.

Unable to change directory to "/home/abc".

Can someone tell me what is that is wrong.

probably that it either doesn't exist or that it has the wrong ownership / permissions. As you've not provided any of this basic information though, we can't say which it is.

Sorry but the command to add a new user to the system is mkuser in AIX and not useradd.That is why it was not able to create the home directory for the user.My bad.
