Is it still supported?

Is AIX still supported by IBM? We use it at work, I'm not one of the admins, just a user, but I heard a while back that because of SCO, IBM would lose it's license for AIX.

AIX is still supported by IBM. Rather than asking an internet forum, why don't you contact IBM or, at least, read their website? Your work has obviously paid a lot of money for AIX so I would think they are entitled to contact IBM to ask a simple question.

Also, tell your friend he is a troll. If he read www.groklaw.net he would see that SCO is on the way out, not AIX/IBM.

The biggest Unix systems on the market today are the AIX 64-cpu Power5 systems. They will obviously be sold and supported during many years from now.
