I had a manual for a PC based AIX back in the early 90s but never actually saw a PC based AIX. It often made me where the damn manual had come from. So far as I know AIX in its current incarnation only runs on IBM RISC systems.

AIX 1.* Ran on the intel PS/2 http://ohlandl.kev009.com/AIX_1-3/AIX_Index.html
AIX 2.* Ran on the intel RT http://www.rootvg.net/aix2faq1.txt
AIX 3.* Power Chip Only
AIX 4.* Power Chip Only
AIX 5.* Power Chip Only .. although, there was a huge amount of development done for the Itanium chip, but it never made it out of development.

Now, saying that, there are a few power chip emulators -->

--> http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwork...xw07EmulatePow

But whether a full blown image of AIX would install and run is anyone's guess .... not the simplest of tasks me feels
