How do I mount a USB drive in AIX?

How do I mount a USB drive in AIX? I have tried mounting a USB drive like I would in Red Hat or Ubuntu and I have not been able to get any USB drive to mount in AIX. I have heard that mounting a USB drive might not be supported in AIX.

Version of AIX 7.1.

Insert USB drive

# cfgmgr

# mkfs -V jfs2 -o ea=v2 /dev/usbms1

yes

# mkdir /usb_mnt

# mount -o log=NULL /dev/usbms1 /usb_mnt

NOTE: /dev/usbms0 did not work for me per the link, but usbms1 did.
