HMC installation

Can i install HMC on an x86 or x64 machine..
i have (2) rs6000 44p model 170 . OS: AIX 5.3 TL 7
I want to practice HMC and LPAR.

Yes(but it depends on what x86 machine you have) and maybe - what is an x64 machine?
That's nice but they will not be able to be managed by an HMC.
OK, then you need at least a power4 machine and an HMC..

Well to make the question more simple
let me put it this way.

i have two power3 rs6000 workstations with AIX 5.3 TL 7

and now i really want to learn HMC. i dont know if i can install HMC on one of the power3 rs6000 workstation and manage the second machine resources.

And can i install HMC software on a regular machine (desktop) where we install windowsXP or linux.

You cannot install HMC code on an RS6000.
You cannot install HMC code on a regular PC, only a special HMC PC from IBM.
Your RS6000 44p machines are too old to be managed by an HMC.
