Good Memory Size and Moemory Size in lsconf output

Hi,

We have bought a AIX 5.3 32 cpu server. The problem I am facing is this server is runnig very slow. A vmstat command o/p shows most of the cpu time is consumes in System calls ( sys). The lsconf o/p places Memory Size as 0 MB and Good memory Size as 126208 MB. What is the difference between these 2 types of memory and what does 0 MB mean? How can Good memory be 126208 MB when Memory Size is actually 0? Can this memory size effect the time taken to execute system call?

Sounds like you have not activated the CoD memory and the system is just running with the minimum entitlement.

Try this site to see if you need to activate your memory and cpu:

Thanxs for the reply.

I checked it out, both POD and MOD are enabled Is there anything else that needs to be enabled?
