Front Panel Customization
 

I want to customize a front panel(desktop) of my AIX 5.1 machine. Actually I want to create some icons in the application manager window. Does anybody know about it?

I assume you're using the default graphical desktop (CDE) which is a pile of steaming turd, to be honest. Offhand I don't remember how to do it, except that I do remember it being a lot more difficult than it should have been.

As an alternative, why not install KDE? You should find it on the Linux apps CD. It might take a bit of messing around with pre-reqs but it does the trick.
