Question changing root password for vio client


Hi,

is it possible to change the root password of vio client from vio server?

or we can change the password for vio client without bootable cd.

No, VIOS client is exactly the same as a normal AIX install, you can only change a lost root password from a maintenance boot.

You lost your root password! seems to be a liveware problem here, sort out your admin procedures.
