changing hostname and ip address

Hi all,

I am trying to change hostname and IP address of an AIX 5.3 machine.

But i am confused as how to change it ?
do i need to use "smitty mktcpip" or "smitty tcpip" ?

what is the difference between them ?

smitty tcpip
minimum configuration and startup
select adapter (en0, en1, en2, etc...) from menu
enter the information in the next screen and select the last option as yes (START TCP/IP daemons Now)

To Delete existing configuration data, please use Further Configuration menus

Type or select values in entry fields.
Press Enter AFTER making all desired changes.

[Entry Fields]
* HOSTNAME [frank]
* Internet ADDRESS (dotted decimal) [172.45.145.129]
Network MASK (dotted decimal) [255.255.255.0]
* Network INTERFACE en0
NAMESERVER
Internet ADDRESS (dotted decimal) [172.24.145.218]
DOMAIN Name [xxx.com]
Default Gateway
Address (dotted decimal or symbolic name) [172.24.145.254]
Cost [0]
Do Active Dead Gateway Detection? yes
Your CABLE Type N/A
START TCP/IP daemons Now yes

EDIT: smitty mktcpip is just a shortcut to go directly to the menu that lets you select which interface (en0, en1, etc...) you want to configure. It's basically just jumping you a few levels deeper into smitty.
