can somebody give links to download aix
Hi friends
i would like to install aix into my machine..is it possible to download from internet without buying and x86 architecture will support?if supports please provide me download links |
Short answer: NO! That would be illegal.
AIX6 beta was available for download, but no longer. https://www14.software.ibm.com/iwm/w.../ibm/aix6beta/ http://www.bullfreeware.com/ ... free software compiled against aix Please note that AIX is not freeware, nor is it free software. It's license precludes downloading without a fee. You should also realise that LQ does not support warez. |
and AIX doesn't support x86 anyway.

hi There
AIX is not free and not available for download Maybe you would like to try out some other Unix/Linux variants to install and learn on your machine regards |
There are not even any emulators.

can somebody give links to download aix
thanks a lot..i think its better to stop thinking about aix, after looking at your valuable suggestions..am i right
anyway i was comfortable with solaris..but thing is that i just want to take a look at aix..thats it.. |
If you have access to a powerpc-based server machine and the funds, there is some merit in learning AIX administration. However, you can get the same skills learning linux or solaris server admin anyway. IBM machines typically ship with RHEL so CentOS would be a good thing to learn. But keep an eye out for AIX beta releases ... IBM have been flirting with free downloads for those.
I seem to be giving a lot of English lessons to Indians lately - is there something I need to know about how online English is used in India? At least I don't have to squint to read yours ... you know: - the letter "i" is always upper case when you mean yourself - the first letter of a sentence is always upper case - questions end in a question mark, ellipsis have three dots and a space... not two. Two dots actually has another meaning but I've forgotten because there is also a math/script use involving number ranges which I use more often. I think what makes you more readable than the others I've seen today is that you put the space in after the commas and you have not used sms-style contractions. So please do not see this as criticism, just curiosity. I've seen far worse from some Americans ;) Trivia (off topic) Have you noticed that a cats tail stands up when it is alarmed and curls over when it is curious. Like it is an exclaimation mark when it is exclaiming! And a question mark when it is asking a question? How does the cat know about human punctuation? It's actually the other way around - the punctuation comes from a cat's tail shape. English is a very funny and untidy language. |
