bash + vim on AIX

hey guys, i have setup bash and vim on my home directory in aix (i dont have root permissions). they work but when in vim i cannot use my arrows or home, end, etc. can anyone help? tried setting up map keycode but it was not working.

hi there,
how did you conclude that they work? note that the arrows keys work only in viM and not in vi.
how did you call the apps? are they installed in your home? if so, you need to call it with the complete path, or add the directory to your PATH env variable.

both bash and viM are installed in my home folder. i have added their location in my PATH. the arrows work now by setting TERM to xterm instead of ansi. i can deal with Home and End keys not working.
