Hello everybody,

Like the title said, i am new to AIX, i have a couple years of Linux experience and i consider myself a moderate user.

I just installed AIX 5.2 on a 43p pseries and well, i wanna become an AIX guru someday. Where should i begin? I looked at some books and online doc (aix 5L administration by Randal k. Michael) but i think its a little bit too advanced for my skills atm. I troll this forum a lot but most of the time i have no clue what you guys are talking about. My Q would be: If i am brand new to AIX, where can i get doc for dummies-like documentation? IBM? Amateur website? forums?

A good website/forum for AIX is pSeriesTech.Org

You can ask questions there are be reasonably sure of getting good, quality responses.

Go to the IBM Redbooks site www.redbooks.ibm.com and you will find a slew of AIX related books including IBM's official study guides for AIX support and systems administration
