This thread is for tracking the development of the 4MLinux 19.0 series.

4MLinux 19.0 Core BETA released.
This is a core system (only a few MB in size) for the 4MLinux 19.0 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 4.4.14, GNU C Library 2.23, and BusyBox 1.24.2. The 4MLinux 19.0 series uses GNU Compiler Collection 6.1.0 to compile programs designed for the i686 architecture.

4MLinux 19.0 BETA released.
 

4MLinux 19.0 BETA is ready for testing. Basically, at this stage of development, 4MLinux BETA has the same features as 4MLinux STABLE, but it provides a huge number of updated packages, including a major change in the core of the system, which now uses GNU Compiler Collection 6.1.0.
The latest stable Qt (5.7.0) has also been included.The final (stable) version should be released on the 1st of September 2016.

Antivirus Live CD 19.0-0.99.2 available for download.
 

Antivirus Live CD is an official 4MLinux fork including the ClamAV scanner. It's designed for users who need a lightweight live CD, which will help them to protect their computers against viruses. The latest version 19.0-0.99.2 is based on 4MLinux 19.0 and ClamAV 0.99.2.

4MRecover 19.0 BETA released.
 

4MRecover is a small live CD designed for data recovery. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for download. This version includes TestDisk 7.0 and it uses 4MLinux 19.0 as the base system.

BakAndImgCD 19.0 available for download.
 

BakAndImgCD is an official 4MLinux fork, which has been designed to perform the following two tasks: data backup (the supported filesystems are: btrfs, ext2, ext3, ext4, f2fs, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, nilfs2, ntfs, reiser4, reiserfs, and xfs) and disk imaging (using Partimage, Partclone, and GNU ddrescue). This release is based on the 4MLinux Backup Scripts 19.0.

4MParted 19.0 BETA released.
 

4MParted is a very small live CD designed for disk partitioning. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for download. This version includes GParted 0.26.1 and it uses 4MLinux 19.0 as the base system.

4MRescueKit 19.0 BETA released.
 

4MRescueKit provides its users with software for antivirus protection, data backup, disk partitioning, and data recovery. It is distributed in the form of a multiboot CD, which includes four (extremely small) operating systems. This release has Antivirus Live CD 19.0-0.99.2, BakAndImgCD 19.0, 4MParted 19.0, and 4MRecover 19.0.

TheSSS 19.0 available for download.
 

TheSSS (The Smallest Server Suite) is a lightweight server suite distributed as a live CD. This release is based on the 4MLinux Server 19.0, meaning that the components of the LAMP server are now: Linux 4.4.14, Apache 2.4.23, MariaDB 10.1.16, and PHP 5.6.25.

The status of the 4MLinux 19.0 series has been changed to STABLE. Create your documents with LibreOffice 5.2.1.2 and GIMP 2.8.18, share them using DropBox 7.4.30, surf the Internet with Firefox 48.0.2 and Chromium 52.0.2743.116, stay in touch with your friends via Skype 4.3.0.37 and Thunderbird 45.3.0, enjoy your music collection with Audacious 3.7.2 and aTunes 3.1.2, watch your favorite videos with MPlayer SVN-r37870 and VLC 2.2.4, play games with Mesa 11.2.2/Wine 1.9.16 support enabled. You can also setup the 4MLinux LAMP Server (Linux 4.4.14, Apache 2.4.23, MariaDB 10.1.16, and PHP 5.6.25). Perl 5.22.2 and Python 2.7.11 are also available.

Fuse (ZX Spectrum emulator) is now available out of the box, while Double Commander is offered as a downloadable extension. 4MLinux 19.0 includes the improved support for the MP2 format (via TwoLAME and SoX). Additionally, users have now more options to control the X.Org Server.
