I've been a fan of (standalone) openbox for quite some time, so it got my vote again this year.

For me it is a toss up between xfce and Gnome3. I find xfce more to my liking as a user interface as Gnome 3 is very heavy left mouse button oriented. Gnome offers user tweaks, allowing each user to have his logon differently configured from the next user. That is it's big plus.

With Gnome being chosen by default or option for most distributions we should just come out and state that "we should not say I use Fedora, but I run a gnome distribution". I should not say I use SUSE's Tumbleweed, but I run a gnome distribution.

Given xfce and Gnome are not listed as window managers, I could not vote.

xfce = 1-3 mouse clicks typical to invoke a program.
Gnome 1-7 mouse clicks typical to invole a program

I am a bit surprised that i3wm did not do better. Not that it matters but I thought it was more popular.
