I chose Firefox almost reluctantly. But it is still the one I use even after looking at alternatives.

I actually use 2

FF for normal stuff like email and banking

Chrome for web browser games like http://thejigsawpuzzles.com/

It's Firefox for me. If correctly configured, it's the quickest and most secure browser in the world (the same applies to Linux as an OS). Anyway, I recently saw some malware specially for FF that are cross platform (aka they're also for Linux!!) - mainly adware, but who knows what's going to follow?!
Anyway, unless you're very permissive about who/what's allowed to install extensions in Firefox, you're quite safe with it.

Opera for me.

I love Chromium but, it's fallen behind Firefox. I now use Firefox as my main but have Chromium as the back up.
I hate what Google has done, forcing you to their front page when you open a Chrome/Chromium browser.

Opera vs Chromium

I chose chromium, though my main browser is Opera.
Opera does currently not update their browser for Linux and many sites are falling over, like on-line banking.
Key-driven navigation is unsurpassed in Opera, which is still my main reason to use it, but I have to use chromium more and more as sites cannot be used in Opera.

It's still Firefox by a long shot for me.

leeley211 12-17-2013 08:26 AM

Firefox because it is the best in my opion

DaComboMan 12-17-2013 09:03 AM

Firefox is still most flexible.

Cultist 12-17-2013 09:18 AM

Please tell me I'm not the only one who at first saw that one entry as Dildo.

Last year I'd have chosen Opera, but as the new Opera is not even available for Linux, I have to be realistic. I use Firefox and Chrome for different reasons. But now that the future of Opera seems a little shaky, Google seems to be better from a social view and I still trust Iceweasel for those special sites where security is a must.
