Irssi

I picked weechat.

I opened this thread knowing I was going to pick pidgin, but thought... hey I do like weechat. It's a real refreshing spin on the cli based IRC clients and it's on par with irssi.

But I really consider IC clients in a category all their own.

metalaarif 12-18-2012 08:41 AM

Pidgin is the best dudes

Siljrath 12-18-2012 11:40 AM

sad to say, but pidgin is still king here.

i agree that irc clients could really do with their own category... then i could be torn between erc, ii, and irssi.

i am newer for linux and i kown little about linux, but i think i must take part in the activity! i think may be the Irssi is the best one i used.

PhoenixAndThor 12-18-2012 07:04 PM

Pidgin in X, irssi in terminal

Poprocks 12-19-2012 03:05 PM

To me, none of these really stand out as being the best "of the Year" so I just picked my all-time favourite, Irssi.

Telepathy / KDE telepathy need to be up there.

jeremy 12-21-2012 12:21 PM

Since I started using Jabber/XMPP more than IRC this year, I voted for Pidgin, but for IRC weechat is a great choice.
