I'm impressed with Arch

Arch or Archbang.................. either case Arch. ;)

I love SUSE for two reasons:
1. Easy to customize with YaST (biggest reason) 2. Balanced between stability and being up to date However, I do miss the classic GNOME. If there was a distro with Mint's GNOME and a YaST\Mandriva like Control Center, I'd vote for it. |
I have tried many of the more popular distros but can't get away from PCLinuxOS. Tex does a great job addressing the issues that crop up. For the longest, I wouldn't upgrade from 2009 but I've found 2011 to be top notch. This is not a plug for the distro, it is just my honest opinion. OTOH, the forums have some catching up to do.

I used Ubuntu for a while, but after they moved to their new Unity desktop I moved to ArchLinux.
|
Mageia have only one stable release, but now it is in 10 top major distros on Distro Watch. I replace with it my previous Mandriva installation on desktop
|
I go with what I use, Slackware
|
If, Bodhi were on the ballot I would vote for it. Solid Enlightenment distro which has a fast boot.

Slackware :)

Will this be the year when Slackware moves up to Number One, from its usual second place spot?
