OpenTTD is a cool game. And it is now fully open source, including graphics and sound.

I actually tend to enjoy playing Scorched 3D every once in a while. I particularly like the way it has taken a classic DOS game and turned it into a (somewhat) modern 3D game.

Thanks for replying Jeremy. My bad for using the term "Open Source", I meant 100% free and GPLd as for the engine.

Check out point 2 in the listing (out much does it cost) and 4 (do I need Quake arena to play).

It is very well supported for Linux and I think BSDs fall into this category as well. Mods are possible. And even they have to conform to Frozensand's EULA, stating no commercial derivatives.

The engine is free as in freedom for anyone to fiddle with. Although the game itself is not fully floss, I'm grateful to them for supporting our *nixISH platforms. Your call, and thanks again for taking the time to reply no matter if you include it or not.

Cheers and best wishes.

That's exactly what crossed my mind when I read that answer!

Anyway, I just have to say some words which make baby Jesus cry to find the delete account button at last.

I'm not sure where the connection between skype and UrT comes in.
