1- The awesome Twinkle is not listed. Maybe because there were no update in 2010 ?

1) There hasn't been a Twinkle release in almost two years, so we have no plan to add it this year.
3) There is no requirement to be Open Source for this particular category.

I used to use Pidgin but tried Kopete and it stuck.
I use Skype also but my vote was for Kopete
