Konqueror 3.5.10
Ah, there's a new KDE4 ? No thanks i prefer use Plan9 instead, it's more ergonomic.

I normally use the file manager included with the DE. If i'm using a WM, then I may install a lightweight one.

Midnight Commander don't leave home without it.

I use Dolphin a lot, KDE be my desktop is why.

nautilus

I use nautilus and I particularly like the extra pane option.

I love Thunar. Light, responsive, simple, and plenty of room to customize.

Konqueror comes in second.

Gentoo is a file manager? Had to google that.

PrinceCruise 01-14-2011 02:18 PM

'Nautilus' so far.

esteeven 01-14-2011 03:26 PM

Nautilus seems to manage my files very well.

X.Cyclop 01-15-2011 12:06 PM

I've always used nautilus.

Only reason I like Dolphin is because of its feature to "Group by", it makes life a lot easier when your folder is flooded with files and folders!

darthaxul 01-15-2011 10:45 PM

emelfm2, if only they added thumbnails id get rid of thunar as secondary

nigelc 01-15-2011 11:15 PM

Nautilus + mc

almatic 01-16-2011 03:35 AM

My filemanager of the year is dolphin, but since I moved to gnome (since kde4) I use nautilus.
Still vote for dolphin, it has some useful functions that I wished, nautilus had them too (the filter for example).

Rox-filer 99% of the time, the 1% with mc or xfe
