um...

The file manager I use the most is 'sh'.

It's also the file manager that most of you use most of the time too

And vim has a 'commander' like plug-in too that's already in most distros

Im going to stick with Nautilus. I prefer it over dophin and a few others. Most of those listed I haven't really tried.

Dolphin is great, but I don't like (the rest of) KDE. So my choice is Thunar.

Thunar, seeing as i live in xfce
Nice lightweight, simple, does the job.

I mostly just use whatever shell I happen to be in at the time, though I am still a sucker for Finder.

Probably out of familiarity, I used to deal with Apple's a lot and took a liking to their interface.

file manager, really??

pretty boxes, pretty boxes, there's a tan one, and a green one, and a brown one, and they're all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look the same.

Midnight Commander, still the best after 25 (?) years. Started using it on QNIX boxes in the '80's.
