I would also add Midori (webkit/gtk2 based) and Arora (qt4/webkit based).

About text based browsers w3m is a must here.

nope, but I wouldn't vote for it even if it were.

I vote FF, not because it's good, but because of the extensions.

If Chrome's not still there for linux then why is it there on this list? Just because its open source? Not fair till its ported to linux.
I already voted FF. Thats the only one that I use. Its good its safe and has got a lot of extensions.

The builds are currently available for Linux and have been for a while (although they are not fully functional). The pending 2.x release should being a functional version and will be available soon.

I keep Opera for those websites that are such a mess that Firefox won't display them; I used to use Konqueror for that, but I really find all the KDE stuff too cluttered and clunky. For normal use, it still has to be Firefox.

This one is hard for me to vote because only mplayerplug-in works in Firefox. On the other hand, Opera handles Flash a lot better or does not crash. Even though I use Firefox for almost every site, Opera has made a lot of changes in 2008. Opera has provided some resilience to a Flash crash and no more ads, so I give my vote to Opera.

Firefox. Let's hope for Mozilla that Chome does not take off; it is hard to imagine that google will continue as major sponsor if their browser becomes a hit.
