I guess my last post was not that clear. I'm not going to change it because it's already seen some reaction. Please consider this an addendum.
@taylor_venable, @Nikosis: Sorry if I sounded like that I was asking you in particular when I asked not to troll. I actually didn't mean that. I was telling that to the others who would later pick up from my reply to your posts and make it a religious war. I get that both your posts had a point, I was just trying to add some other views I thought wasn't visible from them. Quote:

I'm kind of an irregular at LQ so I only just bothered to check the Awards and boy was I thrilled to see this, since vim is actually the greatest piece of software of all time bar none! Does anyone know how many years in a row it has been this way? (Please say "all of them"!!!)
A few weeks ago I started a permanent help thread for vim users at cprogramming.com; it is not very busy but cboard itself is, so if people want to ask a professional computer programmer obscure and difficult questions about everyone's fav editor, someone like me is willing to pretend to be one(so please start firing*): http://cboard.cprogramming.com/progr...al-thread.html *also you will be contributing to a centralized resource for a built-to-last audience |
