No w3m? I'm fairly sure that a number of the members use it. And I think that Iceweasel needs a mention, or the Debianites will get you!

I can add w3m if the demand is there, although I'd have thought the text browsers were covered well with links/elinks and lynx. I've added IceCat, since it really is a proper fork.

Cheers Jeremy, though from the site IceCat appears to be a fork of IceWeasel, itself a fork.

I should vote Opera as I've used it for the last year but since it has been crashing on me and I can't quite get my customization need satisfied I'm being a hypocrite and voting firefox. Moving over to it will be my new year's resolution (together with 1280x1024).

A vote for Galeon again especially with the new 2.0.4 release.

Opera is my choice without reserves. There is however Kazehakase that could make it to the list. Nice GTK+ only browser.

Next year, both kazehakaze and midori (based on webkit!) can probably be included

So... If I use Debian's Iceweasel, should I vote Firefox or IceCat (originally named iceweasel as well)?

From Gnuzilla:
Quote:
GNU IceCat name origin

The name “IceCat” was coined to show our relation with the Mozilla Firefox browser. Ice isn't Fire and a Cat isn't a Fox, so it is clearly a different package (we don't want Mozilla blamed for our mistakes, nor cause confusion with their trademarks), but is equally clearly intimately related (of course the vast bulk of the work comes from the Mozilla foundation efforts, so we want to give credit).

The gNewSense BurningDog browser and the Debian IceWeasel browser are similarly derived from Firefox, also with the intent of being free software. Technically, however, these projects are maintained entirely independently of IceCat. (Previously, this GNU browser project was also named IceWeasel, but that proved confusing.)
I think I'll pick IceCat for ethical reasons... (or should I pick Firefox for technical reasons?).

As much as I like all of those in the poll, and use them all every now and then, I've got to go with Firefox (yeah- Iceweasel, but I've convinced it that it's real name is Firefox- about:config -> general.useragent.extra.firefox Firefox/2.0.0.10 ) for day in and day out use.

Konqueror still remains my favourite for its speed and small memory footprint.
