A couple of more...

Beyond the Red Line, a Battlestar Galactica space flight sim based on the Freespace engine.

UFO: Alien Invasion, a turn-based strategy game similar to the old XCOM UFO series.

Danger From The Deep, a WWII U-boat simulator.

Hard to decide between FreeCiv and Wesnoth (if I don't count our own Thousand Parsec :)). But I guess I play FreeCiv the most of the two and so my vote goes to it.

I am in for GNU chess any day - any time :)

This one is too hard to vote on; so no vote, but great section still (YS Flight would be my vote, yet not Open :( )

Although quite buggy, I love SuperTuxCart.

I also love OpenArena.

I like X-Motto even though it really is to difficult to be really fun.

Alien_Hominid 01-05-2008 02:55 AM

Been playing Nexuiz several months ago while still had some free time. Great game.

lbreakout

Can you please include the game "lBreakOut2"?
Not voting right now!

I love Tremulous, but I have to say Battle of Wesnoth is awesome. So Wesnoth is my pick.

Mega Man X 01-07-2008 08:44 AM

I voted for Nexuiz, pretty good shooter. It was a tough call though... I like SuperTux a lot: Brings me back good memories from the classic Mario, but well, with Tux :D.

Torcs is a game with great potential as well. Graphically, it is not very impressive, but I don't really care about that. What I personally don't like with Torcs is the way the car turns... one little step outside the track regardless of your speed will make your car go wild. It also feels like the cars weight is way off (too light) and it shows often when you turn and the road is not completely plane. This is definitely a project I will be looking in the future.

I believe TuxRacer is dead? No? Their page has not been updated for a very long time. There are other projects around, like Extreme Tuxracer which are build upon TuxRacer before TuxRacer went commercial. Well, at least I think it is dead.

I should give FlightGear another shot as well. Been getting into MS Flight Simulator again lately :)

I am glad Tux Racer is dead, death to the traitor. It is like making a game staring the GNU and releasing it under DRM.

I like PPRacer a Tux Racer derivative.
