WHAT ,Wheres Kaffeine on the List, I chose Mplayer only because Kaffeine was not included.

Maybe because it's not a player? It's a frontend used together with either gstreamer or xine, so vote for those

Mplayer is great for video and audio (DVDs and CDs).
It playes better than ogle in some ways (even though it doesn't have the menu thing going.)
It works in console mode, and also with aalib. (and alot of other libraries aswell)

mplayer has made my Linux desktop usable AS a desktop. Thank God for mplayer. Heck, half the applications listed actually use mplayer too do the heavy lifting.

Mplayer and Xine rule my world, though xine has better dvd handling, mplayer is my universal media player. I also use VLC

DVD's played via ogle are just flatout gorgeous.

OK,ok I know, it's last release (pre7 if I'm right?) comed out more than a year, and the CVS version of it only contain bugfixes, but...

AFAIK now there is getting better everything, so the developing will continue, and, what many people is waiting for, there will be DVD-MENU supporting.

So... :-) Please, please trust to mplayer, and vote for it ;-)

Sorry, but i'm gonna have to jump on the "Whinge about no kaffine" bandwagon. Where is it? its the only media player i can get to play .avi files! I voted Mplayer because i use it as an XMMS backend. Although i must say i can't ever seem to play DVD's on anything ,xine,mplayer,kaffine etc don't seem to regonise DVD's properly. so im forced to use Cedega to run PowerDVD (oh how low have i sunk?)
