I've used Morphix to take care of several critical problems.

Kanotix beats Knoppix as a rescue cd but knoppix dvd is the best for demo of stuff I do not want to install.

as I am not a fence sitter its Kanotix....ohhh baby I luv you
best grub menu I have seen as well....strangely, Knoppix dvd has option for Kanotix as a script installer....very friendly

Now I know what you meant!

It is not much a problem with GNOME as such, but a problem of configuration options (or lack there off). Knoppix has this much better worked out.

Damn Small Linux is the only LiveCD that boots *fast* & comes with the rights apps on every computer with >32MB ram that can cross my raod
I voted for that distro.

Beside, Elive is not present (it is?), when it surelly is the most elegant & original Live Distro I've seen so far.

Of course, I also love Kaella (a french Knoppix), SLAX & Morphix for they permit Elive, Gcomprix (educational super Live CD!), & a bunch of other

I vote Kanotix! I use Ubuntu and Debian on my laptop and desktop respectively, but I use Kanotix to dazzle and mystify my winblows friends. It just sets up so easy, makes explanations of whats going on so simple for me while I seduce yet another winblows slave Mwahahahahaha! "See? There's nothing to be afraid of... Theres a menu button right here. Look! The cascading menu has MANY programs! Built in!" I love doing this.

Cool

I would have voted for SystemRescueCD--which finally released an update recently after a long hiatus--if it was on the list so I chose Ubuntu LiveCD. Knoppix would have been my second choice.

Ubuntu's live cd prompted me to do a full install. Needless to say I was impressed. Found all my hardware and my network and worked 100%. It has my vote!
