Talking about live cds only, not how well it installs, then PCLinux gets it because everything works.

Well, what can I say, my first taste of Linux started with a Knoppix LiveCD, impressive for what they can squeeze in.

I tried Knoppix and Kanotix, and I have to say that Kanotix is better. Not only does it have amazing hardware detection, it also has a good set of drivers (it even supports Linksys 2.6!) and a very easy hard drive installation setup.

Best Live CD

I have to say that Damn Samm Linux (DSL) is an amazing distro, A very nice tight package that brought my ancient IBM laptop back to life. Taking up only 50 megs, it really packs a nice punch. Nice work guys, you got my vote!

Thumbs up

I had Ubuntu's CD sent to me, and I tried it, but it would not detect my wireless PCI adapter...

So, I tried SimplyMEPIS 3.3, and it works perfectly!

I can't vote.. Ubuntu live, Suse live... and several livecds missings... the list must to be upgraded from time to time... so, Slax is the only one I can vote...

KNOPPIX, and especially clusterKNOPPIX. It helped me a lot with demanding applications, like video editing
