I voted Konqueror, solely because it beat Firefox to passing the Acid2 test (thanks to Apple) plus it manages memory better than firefox.
Hey Mozilla team, get your act together! Firefox is loaded with memory leaks, fails Acid2, plus it becomes extremely slow when you have many collapsible DIV elements on a single page (see the ASSP admin interface as a good example of a web page which brings Firefox to its knees). |
Konqueror of course! I've been using it as webbrowser since Konqueror 3.2 and now I'm using version 3.5. But I also use firefox for one website (online banking, they support safari but not konqueror :( ) and also use firefox for windows (at least until khtml & kdelibs are ported to win32).
Opera is also a good browser, very fast :D |

i voted for firefox but after i went through the replies i realized that people r evenly split between konquerer and firefox. i wasnt expecting this. i personally never used konquerer because firefox did a great job.
i believe konquerer doesnt have plugins for many formats. if this is the case then why r there so many votes for konquerer. |
Actually Konqueror is a pretty decent web browser, except that I still haven't got used to the idea of using the File manager as a web browser. Too many parallels to Windows Explorer <-> Internet Explorer...

i voted for firefox

Firefox is the best but it takes more memory space. and New version of Netscape is not available for linux. I prefer Firefox as it is most customizable browser. Firefox has many extensions available.
|
konqueror has had extensions before firefox even existed, there just aren't that many extensions available... anyway, konqi is faster and uses less memory compared to firefox; also integrates better in KDE and has some functions firefox lacks (split screen & kioslaves). firefox is also big on mediaplaying trouble, while it works much more smoothly in konqueror (with kmplayer). so konqi - go!

For me its Firefox (but with its extensions). A good vanilla browser would be Opera. Konqueror huh ???

Anyway, Opera - because it's small, fast, has a lot of nice builtins (much better and faster than the Mozilla suite), and now it's FREE. And yes, OpenSource means a lot, but not that much :) Especially when a closed source app is respecting OPEN STANDARDS, which are far more important ;) Firefox with webdevel & SEO extensions. Links2 -g for everything else :) |
Difficult decision. I voted for dillo because I like it's speed and would hope it will support more features in the future (the patched version in debian is good).
Nevertheless I use opera a lot, but also sometimes firefox, elinks and links2 -g. I'd wish a browser as fast as dillo but with support for the basic web technologies like css, javascript, streaming video, flash, ... |
Seamonkey?? I would vote for mozilla, since it's the closest thing, except you just know the mozilla guys would take the credit, rather than the seamonkey volunteers...
I vote that we get seamonkey as an option, 1.0 released today.... :o |

I voted for Mozilla. In fact I've been playing with SeaMonkey nightlies for quite some time, but still kept Mozilla 1.7 installed until SeaMonkey became final. |
