MPlayer

teledyn 02-01-2005 09:52 AM

Why Cinelerra but not Kino or mpegtools? I think you need to seperate video/multimedia players from the editors.

And of the PLAYERS, no doubt about it, MPlayer will even take the WMV crap I fling at it. Sure, it ain't pretty, but it gets me there.

Again no contest, Mplayer....number 0nE:o

xine + kaffeine

- no comment - :p

riskable 02-01-2005 10:39 AM

xine, because mplayer doesn't do dvd menus.

punkrawker82 02-01-2005 11:14 AM

xine...I guess:rolleyes:

Totem sux! I'd like to see future distro's with better movie file/DVD support if possible:(

Terje 02-01-2005 11:15 AM

Having only used Totem and RealPlayer, and since RealPlayer wasn't on the list, I'd have to say Totem.

tough choice... usually xine or mplayer works... I'll go for the first one though

Vlad-A 02-01-2005 11:06 PM

That's a difficult choice: Xine or Mplayer. I voted for Xine but Mplayer is my fall-back player.

digitalb0y 02-02-2005 02:11 AM

mythtv! + mplayer

mitrado 02-03-2005 12:44 PM

I used MPlayer for some time ... but then something weird happenned... every video was out of sync ... I could never put it to work properly ... the sound was always with some delay ... so I tried Xine ... and it worked just fine! I've tried to use the same settings in MPlayer without luck .... so I always use Xine from now on!

MPlayer seems very cool! but I couldn't fix it so I eventually uninstalled it completely!

Ironi 02-03-2005 03:44 PM

Kaffeine. :)

NamShub 02-03-2005 08:06 PM

I thought this would have been a photo-finish...

Congrats to the mplayer dev.
