Mepis for me because it allows me to have a fully functioning debian based system in less than a half hour. Yoper would earn a place in my heart if it didn'rt rely on RPMs...yuck..patooy

Gentoo. Best for desktops, gaming systems, and development.
Newest packages, Portage has the most packages available.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL

Gentoo all the way. Fastest, cleanest, slimest distribution out there.

i'm surprised no one has voted for Windows XP Pro based on Nice Try technologies. i mean, everything runs so great on it, especially Eclipse which just loads right up without getting that feeling as though you would have time to go for a coffee and come back just in time to see it finally 'open'...

ok, now that that is out of my system...

though i've succumed to peer pressure and i'm going to give SuSE 9.2 a whirl soon ( but just to see if i can't get a game or two actually working under linux )...

FC3!

BOOM!! -- sorry, had to do it...
