For the biggest improvement, I choose XFCE.

Yea GNOME 2.4 is rock solid for me on my Fedora box. I'm going crazy with these gdesklets displays for GNOME. Never really got use to KDE so I went with GNOME for this one. But Xfce does look like a force to be reckon with in the near future.

yup - however something makes me feel like there's missing in XFCE but I don't really know what it is. Probably just the fact that it's so new and has to grow a little and get more recognition. I have however voted for it and will soon replace my KDE with XFCE. :)

XFce is not that new, to tell you the truth, been around for over 4 years that I know of. Hell, I remember when version 3.8.1 was released back in like May of 2001... The latest release is 4.0.1 which was on 11/14/2003...

Cheers..

I dont really like kde, it`s a resource hog actually.

If I had to use one, I`d stick to GNOME! :)
