WizardPen pen-tablet driver for FreeBSD?

I've asked this question on the FreeBSD forums, but I would also like to ask the good folk here: is it possible at all to port the WizardPen pen-tablet driver to FreeBSD?

The Linux driver is here:

http://wizardpen-drv.wiki.sourceforge.net/

I ask because although it's an xorg driver, it requires Linux kernel 2.6 features and so is tied down to Linux.

Is there any chance at all that it can be ported over to FreeBSD without too many changes to code or am I asking too much?

Once again, I think FreeBSD has come a long way since I last used it especially with the binary update feature for the base system but I would love to use FreeBSD as my sole desktop if only it supported a few devices I use rather often.
