unable to connect (SpeedTouch 330 USB modem)

am having a problem with my modem i configured everything as written in manuals but everytime i try to connect i get the same msg. "Child Failed (errdead)"
if any1 could help plz do.
am new ro FreeBSD it's 6.0 and i liked it but with no net i think i'll switch back to windows :S .

I recommend getting a cheap second-hand router. Even better if you can get the same type that your ISP supplies. I know it is possible to get usb modems working, but it is a lot of hassle.
