Three-boot system Win XP - Linux RH - Free BSD does not work

Hello all,

I tried to mount FreeBSD on a dual-partition drive which has Win XP and RH (with a secret wish to eventually get rid of Win XP and RH ;-) coz' I LOVE the tidyness of the file system of FBSD).

Here is what I did :

1. Originally, the dual boot Win - RH is controlled by Gruber.
2. I repartitioned the disk with Partition Magic to free some space for FBSD,
3. I installed FreeBSD with and chose the bootloader to be installed.

When I reboot, Gruber is still there (FBSD does not appear) and I cannot even see my FBSD partition. What did I do wrong ?

Thank you for your input.

You probably didn't install that bootloader to the master boot record of the drive.

You can probably just add a stanza to your /boot/grub/grub.conf and boot it with grub.

Try the FREE tool xfdisk. It rocks.
It can handle almost anything.

Search then post (if not found) also on freebsd-fr mailing-list.
