Script to go to the command line in OpenBSD

When I login to our server a script runs to offer the user a selection of automated tasks, to go to the shell you must type shell to run a shell script which takes you to the command line.

I accidentally removed the vital line that will take you to the shell, any ideas what it might have been?

Thanks

You'd have to provide the original script as there are many different ways of doing it.

Since the script likely was launched from a shell it probably simply did an "exit" when they selected shell option or it may have done an "exec" to launch a new shell or it might have launched a subshell or....
