Password Authentication Problem
I have two servers, one running on each side of a vpn, both running identical FreedBSD/Samba. I can connect to the public shares on both servers from most computers. But I have two computers, both on side A of the VPN, that need to authenticate with username and password to see the shares on side B. This only happens with two of the computers, all other computers can access the shares on side A and B fine. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure I can help, but have a couple of questions to clarify whats going on: If you have several hosts on Side A of the VPN (Lets call them A1-A9) you're saying that (for example) A1-A7 can access shares from B servers, but A8 and 9 can't? are they using same methods of access to the shares? Can all the B servers access shares from the A and B servers? Cheers, Stuart. |

I haven't heard anything from the users on side B, which leads me to assume either all of the sharing is fine on their end, or, they haven't tried the shares yet. |
