need help on connecting to internet in FreeBSD9 and how to access shared folder

Hi I have installed FreeBSD9 on vmware workstation9. During installation I was not connected to internet and the installation finished successfully and it is working fine and now as I am trying to connect to internet I am getting errors.

Now I am using internet and enabled NAT(Network Address Translation) settings in FreeBSD virtual machine.

When I issued the command ifconfig in FreeBSD VM it is showing three interfaces named

em0(related to vmware),plip0,lo0(loopback)

Can you please suggest how to enable em0 interface to connect to internet.

Also can you suggest how to access shared folder in FreeBSD9 virtual machine.

My host operating system is Fedora18 X86-64.

Regards,
Rupesh.

Did you try to look up how to manage/enable interfaces in FreeBSD first?? From their website:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/...ork-setup.html

...step by step, with instructions. Since it's vmware, you want to bring up the em0 interface. Did you enable bridging on the VMware guest, which will let it access the hardware on the physical host?
