FreeBSD x server problems


hi i just completed the setup but when it came to config the x86 it says it faild when i completed it
so... can anybody help me ?
when i try the command start x it doesn't work either

i ain't that great in the x86 server thingy

Ther is a freebsd forum on this site. I would sugest you look there.

Hrm....

So exactly what error are you getting? You are sure x is completely installed? What version of x are you referring to? What happens when you try to run the GUI x config? The shell x config?

Did you reference the Docs at FreeBSD.org when you were setting up X windows?

I just installed FreeBSD and followed the X windows docs and didnt have a problem, except trying to figure out the HorizSync and VertRefresh of this old no-name beater monitor, lol....

#/stand/sysinstall

Configure--> XFree86

This will re run the Xfree86 config for FreeBSD. The textmode one has the most choices of monitors and vid cards.
