freebsd usb harddrive

i've been using freebsd for a few days now. and i'm still completely new to anything besides windows. i need to know how to mount my external harddrive. my cd was as easy as: mount /dev/acd0
if there is any info i need to help u assist me please tell me what to do.
the only thing i know is my external is detected at startup.
if i do usbdevs:
usbdevs
addr 1: UHCI root hub, VIA
addr 2: Microsoft 3-Button Mouse with IntelliEye(TM), Microsoft
addr 1: UHCI root hub, VIA
addr 1: UHCI root hub, VIA
addr 2: Logitech RumblePad 2 USB, Logitech
addr 1: UHCI root hub, VIA
addr 2: USB Reader, vendor 0x058f
addr 1: EHCI root hub, VIA
addr 2: product 0x0303, ADS Technologies lnc.

there i believe it shows i have my mouse, gamepad, and external with a few other things. is there some command i could type to show the name of the external i need to mount? when the external was turned on it showed da0 so i thought mount /dev/da0 would work. i really don't know what i'm doing so please help.

I've pondered this same issue last weekend with no solution.

Try to mount "/dev/da0s1a"

What filesystem is on the external drive?

If it is Fat you can do
Code:
# mount -t msdosfs /dev/da0s1 /mnt
If it is ext2/3 substitute msdosfs for ext2fs.
