D-Link DSL-200 on BSD 3.4

Hi, before you jump up and down at me for ANOTHER post on the DSL-200 modem I'm wanting to know if anyone has ever tried to install it on a BSD system. I have read the how-to on the eciadsl driver and am currently in the process of trying the walkthrough at
eciadsl.flashtux.org/doc/eciadsl-on-openbsd.txt
but surely there is an easier way to install this modem on my system? Has anyone had any luck?

Thanks in advance,
Gsee
