*BSD and Nouveau

Is there any word yet on the support of the FOSS Nouveau driver for X11 being natively supported by *BSD operating systems? I know the Nvidia Binary Blob has been the driver of choice for Nvidia hardware on *BSD based systems like PC-BSD and FreeBSD, but has progress been made to add support in for Nouveau as an alternative driver for 2D/3D?

I'd really like to avoid the Nvidia Binary Blob driver if at all possibilities, but if I must use it, then so be it.

Just install the blob. You could always contact the x11 team at FreeBSD for more info and future details - email address is on the page above.
