X error for normal user

I tried to run X (KDE) as a normal user. So I added /path/to/kde in my path
and x started successfully but I think it crashed after a while for some
reason. So, now when I try to go to X as a normal user it gives the
following error. Anyone knows what's wrong?

Root can run X perfectly.

TIA.

command: "startkde"

Error:

/usr/X11R6/bin/startx[139]: xauth: not found
