Is it only a six-month life cycle? I am under the impression that every half-year a new release is made with mainly security improvements and new package versions when they are ready. It is not an Ubuntu-style release cycle where a new version with new software must be released every six months, regardless if the new software is ready for release or not. And according to the OpenBSD website, each release is supported for the duration of following two releases. That would be a life cycle of a year-and-half.

I stand corrected, I wanted to write "release cycle", not life cycle.

However, I think they "make sure to" release a new version every six months irregardless of anything else. I think I read this in an old interview of Theo.

Regards.
