When are we expecting the next release?
 
When is the next version of current is due out?

It was supposed to be 10/1 but they are still releasing betas. I would say two-three weeks at a minimum. I know there was talk of at least one more beta before they start with release canidates.

Edit: The real answer is "when the code is stable enough." There are several serious issues that are being worked on. If you are really interested you can read the mailing lists... they are talking about the problems (like ACPI) on them.

ACPI would be nice to have fully functional, especially on a laptop.

Two - 3 weeks. I think ill wait for it to come out then reinstall BSD.

Notice this is an *BSD section, you should have specified FreeBSD. In any event, just follow the release engineering page for the upcoming release you want. That is really all that anyone can do.
